Cabling is the installation of cables between major structural limbs within a tree.

Bracing is usually the installation of a steel rod to protect a weak or split crotch. This rod or brace is aided by cables installed in the canopy.

This additional support will not only strengthen a tree but also prevent or reduce storm damage from wind, snow, and ice loads. Cabling and bracing can be an excellent way to extend the life of a tree. Many trees have structural defects but do not need to be removed. Our arborists are trained to identify problems and defects.
